Abstract

The SIRHTO Managment system was developed with the aim of improving the monitoring and management of water resources in the State of Tocantins, providing the Secretaria do Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos (SEMARH- State Department of Environment and Water Resources) with an integrated platform for data collection, analysis, and dissemination. Through integration with the HidroWeb API from the Agência Nacional de Águas (ANA-Brazil’s National Water Agency), the system allows the automated synchronization of data related to precipitation, river level, and flow, provided by the state’s telemetric stations.  In addition, the system enables the manual input of additional data, complementing the information obtained from the API and ensuring a consolidated state database. The system also offers functionalities such as the automation of the Hydrometeorological Bulletin generation, previously done manually. Despite the advancements, the system faces challenges, such as the limitations of the HidroWeb API in terms of request volume and historical data availability   However, the results show that the SIRHTO Managment has the potential to become a robust tool in supporting water resource management, with the possibility of expansion for integration with other systems and the incorporation of new modules.
